The much needed diesel version of the MG6 has launched, offering a diesel engine in the new MG for the first time. Priced from £16,995. The now Chinese-owned MG hasn’t had overwhelming success with its MG6 so far, but much of that can be put down to the lack of a diesel-engined offering in a marketplace that has become diesel obsessed.

The Drayson is exactly that: a Lola-chassised EV that’s been built with no intention of beating the London Congestion Charge, but instead with the sole aim of swallowing Tarmac as quickly as possible. Its top speed?
This is the Morgan Eva GT, a brand new sports car that the Malvern-based manufacturer will start building in 2012. Unveiled at the 2010 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, the Eva GT is built around a variation of the aluminium chassis used in the Aero Supersports and is powered by a twin-turbo BMW straight six. Not at all, as Morgan is already taking £5000 deposits and offering up all the information it has to encourage potential customers to put an order in.
